if you're cooking breasts you have to pound them thin, pan simmering/braises or soups are better for chicken than pan frying is, if you're not using liquid then you might as well brush with oil and cook separately in the oven and readd after its done, if you're determined to pan fry chicken just cut it into small pieces and use a really high heat for less time

You really should be able to put the pan on like 6 or 7 with a little oil, let it heat first, and the cook the chicken on each side for like 7 minutes each. I could help it you pound it or butterfly it so that it doesn't take so much time to cook.

But here is something fool proof I learned when I first started cooking. Heat the pan on high with some oil, lay down the seasoned chicken breasts on the hot pan for 1 minute, turn the heat down to around 3, turn the chicken over, cover the pan, and let cook for 10 minutes. Then turn off the heat and let sit, covered, for 10 minutes. It comes out super juicy and fully cooked. If the breasts are smaller than usual then I do 8 minutes each. If they are abnormally large then I pound the thick side some, so it cooked evenly an thoroughly.

Seriously though. I fed my cat a mix of soft/hard catfood and a mix of raw and cooked meat scraps/leftovers and he lived in good health until he was 19 years old and we had him put down because he had organ failure because he was so damn old.
He even had most of his teeth still. My dad pulled out any ones that went bad from time to time so it wouldn't spread to his other teeth or infect his gums. Said it didn't even really hurt him because they were usually quite loose by then. (My Dad does the same to his own teeth and dries them out and keeps them as keepsakes)
He was an indoor/outdoor cat, we let him come and go freely and we even in his later years he still went out fairly often for a walkabout or to lay in the sun on a bit of mud.
People who feed cats vegan food or put a leash on them and take them for walks are mad. Cats are basically natural freerunners that hunt the odd thing and have the odd scrap with each other to keep sharp.
They'll never be happy if you restrict them on their food or behaviour, and they will respect your boundaries for the most part (outside of the odd mischief) if you treat them with respect and care too. People should never force their own ideals on pets that don't have the choice to.
