When it’s hot outside I normally prefer a mojito in addition to ice cold beer or rosé wine.

I usually have rum (flatmates drink whiskey neat, or with cola)... but yeah, ice, rum, bitters, single cube of brown sugar, slice of orange (after eating the rest). That or a Dark 'n' Stormy when I feel like getting obliterated on a hot day.

Old Fashioned kind of guy personally, but I tried the Babish take on Riot Juice and it's unironically really fucking good.

For me it is a hot toddy.
Jameson and ginger ale is good too.

For me it's the Sazerac.

Simple guy. Gin Rickey or mojito. I like what I like i guess. I tried an old fashion in a place you should order an old fashion and although I could appreciate it was high quality I didn’t quite like it. I think I only like gin and tequila and vodka.

Kahlua stingers were pretty popular in the 70s to mid-80s. They even made the peppermint schnapps version of it in the premixed bottle lat 80s/early 90s. I remember buying it for a couple of years.
To me though, not sure about your recipe because I don't really care for caramel+mint.

I fucking love a good mule. Ginger beer is my favorite pop.

Sazeracs are also great if they're made right.

If it's cold out I'm a sucker for a good gin and tonic. So many interesting well-made gins out there now too. Another good one is a classic margarita made with mezcal rather than tequila. A lot more complex, aromatic and smoky than a regular margarita but still bright and citrusy enough to be great in hot weather.

Whiskey sour. its rare i find i really good one, most of the time its too sweet or without real egg whites

Gin martini:
ice your martini glass
Boston shaker and a pint glass
add 2 shots of gin
add as brief of a pour of dry vermouth as you can manage
fill 3/4 of the shaker with ice
slam in the pint glass and shake for 30 seconds
toss the ice from the martini glass
crack the shaker and pour through a strainer
spear two quality olives with a toothpick and serve

Am I the only one who doesn't really like cocktails? I like straight liquor much better. The only exception is, a few dashes of angostura bitters in dark rum smells and tastes heavenly.

2 Measures Bourbon
1 Measure Southern Comfort
1 Measure Maple Syrup
Lime Juice to taste
Topped up with Lemonade (Or Champagne/White Wine for Royale)

Made some interesting drinks in middle/high school. Hawaiian Comfort was Hawaiian Punch with some Southern Comfort in it, would recommend. I made a drink once when I was housesitting made with all the booze I could find in the house that was equal parts port wine and amaretto, topped with olive juice. I called it Quit While You're Ahead and it was fucking disgusting.

I don't think I'm a manly man or anything, I just don't think cocktails taste good. Maybe I'm just mixing them wrong or something, but the only one I really have liked was a martini. I tried a mojito, and it just seemed to be extra bitter, and no better tasting. Dark and stormy was the same thing. Pink gin was just disgusting. Old fashioned didn't really taste any different from regular bourbon. Maybe my tastes are fucked up, none of them just seem to improve the taste of the straight liquor.

Not that guy, but as someone who likes my liquor both mixed and not depending on my mood, I've actually found rum is probably the only liquor that doesn't get improved with mixing. I know rum is the go to mixing spirit but everytime I mix rum I always find myself think either I've just ruined a nice rum, or I've just ruined a nice cola etc depending on whether I liked the rum to begin with or not. Having said that the only exception I've found to this was having rum in tea, both black or white works- but hot.
