Yes as long as you educate yourself on the necessary vitamins ex: B12
B12 is grown by bacteria in the gut but can't be absorbed by the body this is why animals often eat their feces. Animals are usually just fed B12 pills nowadays because they're deficient too(90% of B12 supplements are fed to livestock) You can also cultivate your own B12 if you'd rather avoid the fortified foods and supplements

absolutely, so long as you're watching and making sure you're getting enough vitamins and minerals. My wife is vegan and gets more iron and protein in her diet than anyone else I know solely because she knows what she needs to eat.

>easy to acheive
if you have formed tastebuds and aren't a complete idiot at cooking, absolutely since most recipes can subsitute something to make it vegan, i.e. jackfruit for meat, banana for an egg substitute, etc.

Reorienting your taste buds is a bit of a challenge, but if you can get over that then you should be fine.
Every vegan I've ever met has been a douche who's only doing it for the moral high ground they think it gives them. So the idea of being a vegan doesn't appeal to me, but you do you, anon.

Animal sources are both more efficient when it comes to those nutrients. Also vitamin d3 isn't found in plant based foods, vitamin d2 is and it's a less effective form than d3. It's also mainly found in mushrooms, which if you're buying from a chain grocery store will contain very small amounts as they're grown in the dark. Wild or garden grown mushrooms are a great source of d2 though.

Preformed vitamin a does not need to be converted and has a higher absorption rate. Preformed vitamin a is only found in animals. Pro vitamin a is found in plants and is converted to vitamin a, its less efficient.
Vitamin d2 is found in plants, mainly mushrooms and even then only mushrooms that have been exposed to light. Most vegan sources of vitamin d are from fortified foods.

I did not in my post state that you couldn't meet the RDI for those nutrients on a vegan diet, just that animal products are more efficient sources.

Vitamins D, A, K, E are fat-soluble, meaning you can use all the supplements vegans do, the vitamins will not be absorbed by the body if you don't eat animal fat. Since these micronutrients are storied in your liver and fatty tissues, they are eliminated much more slowly than watersoluble vitamins. By the first few years, when the vegans become looking like holocaust survivors - losing all their fat, and with it their fat-soluble vitamin reserves -do the loss of teeth, brain fog, skin problems, muscle and bone weakness, etc. hit them.

When I went "spiritual vegan" I experienced a psychotic breakdown and nearly died naked meditating on a sheet of ice expecting to get beamed up by aliens.

Would anyone read my book?

"After several days eating nothing but a few hundred calories of
vegan garbohydrates my mental state continued to deteriorate. As the mania ramped up I became increasingly obsessed with "spiritual" pursuits. I barely ate or slept. I was reading everything I could about reptilian exopolitics, twin flames, the law of attraction, The Event, and all the New Age dogma I could feast my eyes on. This is where things started getting pretty weird. I was walking around wearing shorts in blizzard weather practicing cold thermogenesis..."

Would anyone listen to my rap?

"Carnivore bitches are delicious (mmm)
Not too vicious (mhm)
I don't wanna wash no dishes (mm mm)
I bring the meat up on the beat (eat me baby)
There's no carbage in my kitchens (teach me baby)
That garbage I'm ditchin' (impeach me baby)
Cause the meat up in my kitchen's firin' up the heat in my metabolism
I think I might skeet skeet skeet skeet along to the meat beat
This is meat rehabolism
Sync'd to the mother lovin' beat of this song
It's fat-adapted fab-o-lism
Try a little dabble-ism
With yo mother or yo sister man I bring the meat up all night long in conversation
All across the nation and on every street
To the beat of this song yeah I fire up your grill and bring the heat
With yo daughter I'ma feed her meat until she tweet about it
I think she might tweet tweet tweet tweet along to the meat beat
You don't need to bring the heat about it"

Would anyone listen to me in general when I espouse the physical and mental health healing benefits of zero carb carnivory?

Not nessecarily healthy. A wfpb diet is just about the healthiest diet there is, however you can still eat cake, ice cream, chips and cookies as a vegan. They are easy to achieve too, i can always find something to eat at a restaurant or friends house. Staples like bananas/grains/beans/potatoes/seeds are cheap as dirt, i spend about 40 bucks a week on food and i buy lots of fruit and veg.

No. You can survive on a vegan diet, not thrive.

It's expensive to buy vegan ready meals. Cooking prep time is insane for any meal unless your just eating rice and steamed veggies. I even stopped using all oils and margarine. Eating out is just as hard. So unless you really wanna go off the deep end and join the cult, it's not worth it. Just include more veggies and use less carbs and starches, and dont make every meal all about the meat.

I'm vegetarian/close to vegan. I supplement well, work out and eat tons of food. Vegetarianism really sparked my love of cooking and got me to explore more dishes. I've found it really easy to maintain and I only crave very specific things. Weird to see so much Sevrdige trolling too - most people can obviously benefit from moderating or restricting consumption of red meat and animal products. >> No.11831680

I'll be up front. I am not a vegan, though I was one for a year. I am currently a vegetarian with no plans to ever consume meat again. Being vegan was one of most difficult and tedious choices I had ever made. I used to be fit and strong -- So much for that. I withered away that year, dropping about 30lbs of muscle and fat. I did not look emaciated, but my gains from years of working out had all but evaporated. My strength deteriorated and my happiness slowly started to fade. The first 6 months were hard. I had no idea what to eat, how to cook, how to battle my cravings, how to defend my views and values from people who just wouldn't let me do me. It was rough. But where I was coming from made it all worth it. I was strong, but overweight. I ate what I wanted, but my cholesterol and blood sugar were really fucking high. After switching to Veganism I got weaker, but healthier. I couldn't eat out with my friends without it being a hassle, but I learned how to cook at home and learned to love inventing alternatives to all the foods I could not eat anymore. Part 2 coming...

>> No.11831709

The latter 6 months of my Vegan year were way better. I knew what to cook, how to order out without being a nuisance to those I dined with, how to talk to people about the way I ate (Protip: Say less. Keep it to yourself for the most part. DONT PREACH) and how to be happy with the way I was eating. Finally after half a year my taste buds reset or something because fucking carrots tasted awesome, fruit tasted like a dessert, and most of the foods I used to love and eat all the time were converted into vegan alternatives. I knew how to make them easily and healthier, without sacrificing flavor due to my taste buds reset. That said, cheese was always my weakness. I foamed at the mouth for truffle fries and pizza and fettuccini alfredo. Etc. Nothing I could cook could come close to the flavor, so I caved. I now eat cheese and butter and some other dairy and egg products so yeah. Now I am vegetarian. If you are thinking of trying to be vegan, DO YOUR RESEARCH FIRST or at least be vegetarian for a year or two first or else you will fuck your shit up with poor nutrition and you'll be prone to breaking your diet due to cravings

Eating a whole plant based diet is very easy you just try to eat lots of whole beans/veg/fruit/nuts, eat 2-3 tbsp of ground flax seed per day, and take a B12 supplement. I've been using nutritionfacts DOT com for answers to questions and followed some youtube cooks for meal ideas. It's important to make the distinction between vegan and whole plant based diet because most of the nutrition comes from eating the whole orange or brusselsprout not just the juice or in some processed format. On psychelics you can experience altered forms of consciousness so diverse and foreign that it makes it clear that the question "what is it like to be a bat?" is both profoundly important to our perspective on our place in the universe as sentient beings, and concretely answerable.

There is something that it is like to be each animal, even bugs. There is something that it is like to be a mantis. Play with one while it states into your eyes and deny that someone is looking back at you

We know that genocide and murder is wrong, and the reason it's wrong is because of our shared moral standards based on empathy. But this empathy can be dampened and removed from us through abstraction of the meat production process. We are dead inside to the facts of what happens each time we purchase meat

Ever had a pet? What about a pet chicken? Some people have them and they are fun and loving. They have lives. Each time you buy a roasted chicken, that was a chicken just like the others that could have had nice normal lives raising their babies

Reply with smug sociopathy if you want to, but once you realize the truth it's hard to deny. That being said, it can be easy to slip back into eating murdered animal carcasses when you're in a bad mood or just stop caring about life

Do you guys have any tips for maintaining veganism over the longterm? I've recently began this and I don't want to quit because I know right now that it's the right thing, but I know that in the past I've known this as well and forgotten due to apathy and depression

According to the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, the largest organization of food and nutrition professionals in the US: "Appropriately planned vegetarian, including vegan, diets are healthful, nutritionally adequate, and may provide health benefits for the prevention and treatment of certain diseases. These diets are appropriate for all stages of the life cycle, including pregnancy, lactation, infancy, childhood, adolescence, older adulthood, and for athletes." ... "Vegetarians and vegans are at reduced risk of certain health conditions, including ischemic heart disease, type 2 diabetes, hypertension, certain types of cancer, and obesity. Low intake of saturated fat and high intakes of vegetables, fruits, whole grains, legumes, soy products, nuts, and seeds (all rich in fiber and phytochemicals) are characteristics of vegetarian and vegan diets that produce lower total and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol levels and better serum glucose control. These factors contribute to reduction of chronic disease. Vegans need reliable sources of vitamin B-12, such as fortified foods or supplements."

As far as being easy to achieve, vegan diets are pretty affordable grains, legumes, starches, vegetables and fruits are the cheapest foods on the planet and are generally pretty accessible- it's meat alternatives that are generally pretty expensive compared to meat products, although tofu is cheap as fuck.

It just requires a bit of planning but speaking from experience readjusting your palate to vegan foods you already aren't used to such as mock meats could be a hurdle depending on how picky you are. Personally I hated the taste of grain-based alternatives at first, and avoided them but after a year of being vegan I went back and tried some and didn't mind them, although I still prefer grains and vegetables, etc.

You also have to learn to cook vegan, but simple recipes are easy to find online.

You ever kept chickens? I had a bunch in a coop in my yard, they got free run of the place, could leave whenever they wanted if they wanted that. I'd give them all the pasta, veggies, etc that they'd want.

Even well fed that they were, I'd still find them crowded around something in their coop once in awhile, typically a mouse, as they fought each other to tear its limps off, and if one got it theyd grab it in their beak and thrash it around until its spine broke to make sure it was dead.

I don't really feel that bad about eating chickens.

Also what about other things that are literally animals? Like barnacles? When they stop being motile and affix to a point to filter feed they literally digest their own brain. Are they unethical to eat? I don't disagree with your overall message, but it's pretty simplistic and views animals as these sweet little beings trying to live honest, loving lives.

ABSOLUTELY NOT
Everyone supporting this are experiencing brain fog, and are under severe cognitive dissonance

Look at it this way:
Vegans ( the ones trying to push it hard at least) are the equivalent of the LGBT faggots you get the pleasure to see on tv / internet every day.
Arguing with mentally ill people or giving them doesn't get you too far.
to stay on topic it's got to mix a bit of everything with different portions, any other answer is just pandering to personal preferences or just forcing personal dim vision upon other people.

No. You should eat animal products. Not as much as you probably are, but still.

>> No.11839470

Eating food used to be about survival, not something you could be picky about.
I'd say eat your food, be grateful for having food and stfu.Picky pricks.

What should be discussed instead is the way animals are treated by the industry. They should go out and run under the sun and eat green grass, things a living being should enjoy... I realise it's impossible on such a big scale because muhricans can reach sometimes the sieze of a cow and gotta have more, but MAYBE the problem lies within the consumer, just my 2cents

I don't even see any meat in these pictures. 100% of your posts just prove how astonishingly dishonest leftists are. It helps you recruit more leftists into your starvation cult, (because imbecile leftists love to he lied to) but I don't see why you are wasting your time here.

There was one vegan left. The "Vegan Cheetah" but he is only alive because he was eating animal products on the sly, now he admits he has quit the cult entirely.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R8hjSbUfPvo

Yes now even "the Vegan Cheetah" is no longer vegan, even he quit the anorexia cult called Veganism.
