Buddy of mine's been vegan for about twenty years now. He's probably my healthiest buddy. Don't do meat myself but I believe that taking good care of your animals and eating them is alright. Vegetarism is also quite nice.
In any case, it's not the diet, it's the person. You can find vegans that eat chips/fries every day and are as malnourished as the carnists who eat daily kebabs.
