No chefs here. Only lunch ladies.
There are high class waiting-to-die facilities that feed you proper food if you can eat it. (Some oldies can't swallow too well, let alone chew.)
But those places are for oldies with their wits and bodies in somewhat fair shape. As soon as you need a nurse on hand round the clock, off to the warehouse with you.
I think it's fortunate that there are a lot of veterans in these places, because at least they can be reminded of army food.
