yeah it's fine to eat, if you're worried then just make sure you cook it to temperature. the problem with it was that it was particularly prone to parasite infestation, but if you live in the first world you're probably safe from any harm coming from underdone pork.

Ethically, religiously or health wise?

Ethically it depends on whether or not you think pigs deserve protection from human consumption on the grounds of their intelligence. I don't, but that's entirely subjective.

Religiously it depends on whether or not you're Muslim or Jewish. If you are, it is 100% haram and you cannot eat it. If not you're OK. This is assuming you're not some denomination of buddhism/hinduism etc that denounces the consumption of meat in general.

Health wise it absolutely is. The only issue people have with it is concern over trichinosis, which used to be an issue but it's fully eradicated in pretty much all first world countries.

Depends what cut you got. Loin is always safe, but depending on what the pig was fed shoulder and neck joints can build up harmful levels of mercury and other heavy metals.

Loin or chop sure go to town on it daily not much worse for you than chicken thigh. It’s the cured fatty shit like bacon that isn’t as good for you nutritionally.

nope if you eat pork you're guaranteed to die somewhere in between 1-130 years from consumption
