Americans will eat out three times a week where they'll consume a burger that's been fried in lard served with a bucket of fries and unlimited soda refills, but because there isn't a McDonalds sign out front they'll insist they're somehow not killing themselves with their absurd decadence.

What is it with the belief that kids "grow out of a diet"? It's just bad parenting and giving your child a shitty education about food.

At 24 I ate two slices of pizza for lunch at least four times a week. But I was an avid cyclist, usually riding 60-80 miles a week on hilly roads. Rounded out with a couple miles of trail riding on the mountain bike each morning before I biked to work. So I could pretty much eat anything within reason and not be a fatass. Now that I'm older I have to be more careful about what I eat to weigh the same as I did back then. Only eat pizza like once every two months now.

Before I learned to cook? You bet your ass. Pretty much every day I was getting fast food. Could only eat once a day though. Some people do multiple fast food meals a day.

The reality behind this is because most people in north america are being worked haggardly. With the advent of the 40 hr work week, a lot of people may find themselves time-poor. Add on to this the low wages and commute times and some poor fucks work essentially a 12 hour day. With the upkeep of life in terms of cleaning and trying to relax a bit after your shitty day is over, most burgers find comfort in the idea of a fast meal.

Essentially, it's a form of time slavery.

If you pay attention, many Wal-Mart's have trailer parks right next to them. It's a cycle that keeps them there and supplies Wal-Mart with workers, not unlike indentured servitude.

There's a Wendy's near me that makes a great spicy chicken sandwich so I'll get one maybe once a month as a treat. Otherwise every meal I eat is homemade except Sunday dinner which I spend at my parents house (or we go out 50/50).

Sometimes if I'm drunk and don't have food premade I'll order a pizza.

After 15 you got a car so you can use the drive through. Fast food's primary demographic are people aged 15-25 for a reason, it only slows down because as people approach their late twenties they probably have access to a kitchen and can cook whatever they want whenever they want.

That's no different than people wanting to live next to Sears or the Post Office. Walmart itself feeds off the homeless people in their parking lots (except during disasters see how the Walmart in Chico kicked all their refugees out).

Trailer parks are also c-list housing, they're far better than living outside on the street where there is no organized security, sewage/power/water hookups, or gym/toilet/shower access. Trailer parks are also better than apt complexes because the noise insulation is so much better.

My road racer friend said that during road season he would consume roughly 3000-4000 calorites and ate like a total pig. I ride about 40 miles a day five days a week and am eating probably around 1500 calories a day but that is because I live on messenger wages

>tfw lived in a trailer park for most of my life
>tfw it was in a super rich town, literally 50k for a trailer compared to a 400k house
>tfw it was gated, had security, 3 playgrounds, a pool, and a strong community

I miss it, but I also love my current house. Trailer Parks aren't as bad as everything thinks, you just need to not live in the south and find a trailer park in a decent neighborhood.

Careful with advice like that, just because you burn up all the calories of shitty food it will still be shitty food, with every single one of the detrimental effects on your body, only except weight gain.

>it's a form of time slavery
Yeah, the real reason we dont have slavery nowadays is because it would be too fucking EXPENSIVE for the owners. Modern workers can just be kicked to the curbside if you have no use for them anymore. It's like ridesharing for cars.

>> No.11534203

>>11534153
My point is that someone who is active and young (teens, early 20's) will not show the effects of shitty food the way someone older (mid 30's, 40's) will. If you enjoy eating garbage the last time in your life you can eat it with impunity is likely to be in your 20's if you're active.
