This place on Long Island in (I think) Centerport. No idea if it's still around but there was this little shop called Ginos that made the most perfect and delicious slices of pizza. Consistently too. Damn I miss it.

Not to be arrogant or anything, but I like my homemade pizza best. For non-arrogant pizza slices, there was this small little dive in Taiwan of all places that had just about the absolute most perfect pizza I've ever tasted. I based my homemade recipe off of theirs (which I obtained through heavy handed, disjointed-Chinese begging).

The pizza that comes out of this shop is probably my favorite. It’s in central Ohio btw. Idk if it’s the perfectly crispy crust, the slightly charred pepperoni, the mild sweetness to an otherwise tangy sauce, the fact that after 50-some years, they still don’t deliver or take credit cards, or maybe that I’ve only ever eaten this pizza with my pops, but it’s definitely the “best pizza I’ve ever had”.

For me, it's a dominoes thin crust with extra pepperoni and left half mushrooms.
I even add a side of bacon mozarella tomato fried chicken bites to my medium pizza to make each one just 5.99 - What a deal! Dominos sure knows how to treat their customers.

Pestino's closed down but they had a great buffalo chicken. Sauce was actually spicy instead of just flavor, the smoked provolone meant it didn't just stretch, had a long grill they cooked all the chicken on. pizza was more expensive because dough, I guess, the effort, but you could just order some chicken breasts with sauce on the side
