I just boiled sweet potatoes. Now I'm gonna cut em up and roast em on my cast iron with brussels sprouts. Then I will add rice. Would it be good to boil the rice in the same water I used to boil the sweet potatoes? Or should I change it?

You dont need to boil em b4 u roast bro. Just peel, cut, season and roast and they come out fine. Tip for next time... also cut them into roughly the same sized pieces so they cook at the same time.

This guy is lying to you. They'll be hard, chewy, burned and bland if you do this. Parboiling before roasting will make them sweet and tender. I grew up eating sprouts and loving them, because my family actually knew how to prepare them. Now that they're trendy every clueless person thinks they know how to cook them by just throwing them in an oven. Many times I've had hard, burned, flavorless sprouts drenched in bacon grease and overly sweet dressing served to me at restaurants. I don't see the point.
