Why do I like doritos in rice, and how can I replicate the flavor but without the doritos? I've tried:

- various cheese
- garlic/onion powder
- freshly ground black pepper
- MSG salt
- salt, butter, etc
- various combinations of the above

and haven't even gotten remotely close to tasting how doritos taste as a condiment. What do?
