I started work as a barista and kinda feel lame for taking my coffee with 2 cream 2 sugar. I bought an espresso machine for my home so I can get better at brewing and tamping espresso, but I don’t like raw espresso. Whenever I make it for myself there’s always a teaspoon of sugar and two thirds of it is steamed milk.
I feel like I’m trying too hard to be something I’m not whenever I try straight espresso. Like I’m being a poser for the sake of the barista title

This is why we don’t let the machine brew the coffee.
Pour overs are the way to go. You can heat your water to your prefered temperature instead of letting the coffee machine scald it.
Also that way you don’t have to brew an entire pot at a time.

Cold black coffee is delicious. It's bracing and refreshing. You can chug it if you feel so inclined.

I don't drink it to be edgy or different or anything like that, I just like it.
