Any good stand mixers under $100? I wanna make bread n shit but I'm not gonna make it often enough to make a KitchenAid worth it.

KitchenAid stand mixers are well made and hold value in the used market, so your best bet is to scour garage sales where a seller who doesn't know she can get good money for her old mixer puts it on sale for less than fair market value.

Look for a kenwood.
I just bought a kenwood kmix
It's cheaper than kitchenaid and has more power.
Can't get one under 100 dollars new but buy once cry once.
Or get it second hand and get a pro version

Standmixers are God tier imho and they make baking so easy even though I rarely baked before.
Especially for bread just dunk the ingredients in, take it out and let it rise

For cleaning I just throw in boiling soapy water and whisk it around proper

we have pic related and want to sell it.
it's just about brand new. it's just too huge for our needs.
we got the Artisan and it it seems like a better size for household use. our household anyway. and it was just a little more than 1/3 of the price of the 8 qt
i do want more than $100 for it though

In the US, Kenwood mixers cost far more than a Kitchenaid mixer.

If you want to save some money, try checking places like Williams Sonoma, since they clearance specialty colors at the end of the season. It still won’t be cheap, but you save a bit of dough, and wind up with a color most other people won’t have.
Alternately, try to find a used one and refurb it, or try to find a used Hobart.

In the meantime, if you don’t need to do extensive kneeding, buy a hand mixer from a cheap brand that comes with dough hooks, and save your money for the Kitchenaid.

Then use a mixing bowl and your hands you retard. You don't need fucking technology for everything, especially if you don't make it often.

Kenwood being more expensive new is prolly a good thing because they are less well known and don't have a cult following like kitchenaid.

The cheap kitchenaids are underpowered kids toys
The kenwood will however depreciate faster and has a better motor even on the budget versions like the kmix
The build quality is every bit as good or better as kitchenaid

Buying used is a good option, even a 30 year old mixer can work every bit as good as a new one and they are pretty serviceable

Here's a little link with an episode of James may the reassembler about the kenwood.

Kenwood and Kitchenaid mixers are sort of similar, but use different motor and drive designs.
Kenwood uses a belt in the drive mechanism wereas kitchenaid sticks to gearing.
A belt isn’t necessarily bad, but the belt can dry out over time and harden if not used, causing extra vibration when the mixer is running.
When James May was reassembling the Kenwood mixer, he used a caulked gasketing agent to seal the drive gearing. The Kitchenaid mixers use separate rubber gaskets and o rings. I’m not sure whether one system is better than another, the Kitchenaids are known to leak oil/grease over time if not used, but the gaskets and o rings are easily souced a in the US and replaceable.
Kitchenaid gearing from what I’ve seen looks better designed/made and more durable.
Motor on the Kenwood is larger, but I’m not sure what tupe of motor it is. Kitchenaid motors are smaller but I believe DC motors, which can be better for certain applications.
The difference might be better judged in availability.
Kenwood seems to be the default British mixer, and Kitchenaid the default US mixer, and I presume used ones, parts, and accessories are mich more readily available in both’s respective markets.
With Kitchenaid in the US, I can walk to Walmart or target to purchase accessories for certain sizes of Kitchenaid mixers.

Unless you're making a fuckton of pastries I'm not sure a stand mixer is worth it, though Kitchen Aids have a fuckton of attachments and I've been known to spend way too much money on inane shit, so I wouldn't look down my nose.

Btw, 60 dollar Aldi mixer is shit. Can't even whip a meringue.

I don't know of any.
Bench Mixers are something you probably have to spend a bit of money on. You won't reget having something with proper planetary motion, accessories like a grater, meat grinder and sausage stuffer.

I use it for a tonne of different things.

The Kitchenaid Classic is $179 on Amazon. I think that's a reasonable price for what you get. I wouldn't get a $40 piece of shit stand mixer that burns out the first time you make brioche.
You can apparently make very serviceable dough in a food processor, which is usually less then $100. Or use your hands.
