My dad’s nuker mac and cheese is pretty good for about 50¢ a serving. Just noodles, single cheese slices, and bread crumbs. It takes about eight minutes to make.

For real zero effort, pour a 50/50 mixture of juice and half and half into a popsicle mold and freeze it. It adds up to about 50¢ a pop and blows out most prepackaged popsicles if you ask me.

This is my low energy low effort poorman comfort food. It will take more effort than the dishes here but sometimes it's worth it not involving a microwave or a dinner box.
>boil in bag rice
>let cool off
>WARNING, MICROEFFORT
>as rice is cooling, dice one quarter of onion, add or dice any tomato you might have, and dice any pepper if you have one
>effort over
>large saucepan hot and oiled
>onions (sweat) then peppers and tomatos
>make sure not too much liquid is left from tomatos
>salt, pepper, and garlic powder
>add rice
>add 1 can of black beans
>add any leftover meat or protein if you have any
>beef or chicken bullion or stock powder (good amount), pepper, garlic powder, small amount of cumin, lemon juice, red pepper flakes, cayenne, more garlic
>salt to taste
>the dish is finished when the beans mush easily and/or theres not much "sauce or water" left in the pot.
Sometimes based on what you throw in you dont get enough natural sweetness from tomatos and the peppers. I'll add barely a teaspoon of brown sugar to balance it. It shouldnt taste sweet at all though.

That chili has been discontinued in OZ

Australia has made legal changes to the rules about using US beef.

Hormel can no longer sell US beef in a can produced after a certain date.

Hormel are selling all their remaining stock.

Once they have sold out their remaining stock, they will restock the shelves with ALL new cans of Stagg.

The ALL NEW Stagg will contain pork instead of beef.

Homemade bean burritos. Pinto beans boiled in water with boullion cubes added. Fry cooked beans with chili powder, cumin, garlic, lime, and smol amount of miniscule dice jalapeno. Roll cooked beans in a tortilla with shredded bulk cheddar cheese. Wrap in foil and store/ reheat in oven a few minutes. Eat with sour cream, lime, salsa or plain as you can afford. Plaintains or rice a good side. If you live near a Mexican grocery, ingredients for this are super cheap. Same here. I'm -200 bucks in the hole, have a 900 dollar paycheck coming in 2 days, and still am not sure if I'll even break even. If I've got a positive balance in my bank account come Monday, it'll be a win.
In the meantime, there's an old lady at work who gives me a container of yogurt every morning, one who gives me a breakfast bar, and one who gives me a toaster strudel. (They just do that because they're nice old ladies, they don't know I'm broke.) Will swipe a five from somebody here & there, get some ramen if I have the balls for it that week. If possible, cause I have 10 bucks leftover in a pay period, I'll pick up a bottle of Skol for the weekend, wake up each morning with my uvula swollen. Hopefully things'll start picking up next year.

I recently forgot to eat and it was like 10pm so no possibility of going to the nearby supermarket either. So I boiled some rice, cut the broccoli I still had in my fridge into relatively small pieces and added them halfway into the rice cooking process. Drained it, added some soy sauce and a few spoons of peanut butter (not american peanut butte, but peanut butter that is literally just ground up peanut). Stirred it and it was pretty decent. I think the only improvement I would make is throwing in an egg at the same time as the broccoli.
Soy sauce: literally too cheap to count desu
Rice: 15 cents or so
Broccoli: 56 cents
Peanut butter: 20 cents or less
Egg: 20-30 cents depending on how fancy they are and how many you can buy as a student without having to throw half of them away.

So yeah that's a €1,20 meal and I'd say it scores well in terms of nutrition and lazyness while being cheap as fuck. Also barely any processed food except the soy sauce I guess.
