$5 or less takeout meals.
Australia is more $$$ compared to USA, but this is still great value.
Pic related is curry chicken katsu. I asked her to drench the rice and chicken and as you can see, she delivered.

What’s your $5 or less go-to takeaway?

I failed to mention it’s usually $7.90, but from 4-5pm they drop it to $5 to hopefully sell out.
I haven’t had this meal since I lived in japan and it’s just as good as I remember. Soooooo good.

Yeah, I'm in the US an thats about the right price if I go out to brown town for real pakis to make it. Otherwise its closer to 8$ in a more middle class area. Fusion places that serve something similar would be 12 for a smaller portion.

We don’t really have a paki food culture here.
Indians do well. It’s great food too I’d done well, but you are looking at $15+ typically here.
Also kebabs are sold in pretty much all food courts, but you are lucky to get for $9.90. Cheese is an added $1-$2. Same as avacado.
For some reason, kebabs are not really a thing in USA.
Cheese, sour cream, halopinos and hot chilli sauce on it is to die for, especially after a night out after leaving the club.
Pic semi-related.

Kebabs are more like a picknick food, for the grill but I know what you mean. The closest we get around here is chicken yakitori from the chinies food spot.

I make Kebabs myself but I'm not sure how similar they would be to what you get. Meat, veggies, brush a sauce on. I got in the habit of grilling it all with a steel squarer cable and then forking it over rice to serve.

We have a far bit of paki, indian food around here but its largely close to areas with those types of communities. We do get kick ass gourmay food trucks serving anything you can think of.

This is god tier for the price.
Even without the well seasoned crispy chips (usually) it’s a great deal. The sauce is perfect with the crispy chicken tendie.

I'm glad the world has Japanese food too but I wouldn't bat an eye if Japanese curry ceased to exist because it's just bland mediocrity, for infants who can't handle spice and aromatics, and it's objectively worst curry.

It's perfectly edible but if you actually think it's better than curry from anywhere else, Pakistan included, then you're a palletelet, it's that simple.

There's Paki food in NZ (legit stuff). It's really good if you like Indian food, you'd like it, and they use beef.

don't really know any pakis but i worked with a northern indian muslim guy for a few months, he was a real good cunt, liked smoking weed, hooning motorbikes, had a qt wife, bought us her Biryani (delicious), teased the hindu indians about it having cow in it and they can get fucked.

he was indian on a technicality, could have easily had his family sent to pakistan (should have) back in the day. I also know muslims in general are pretty freindly and open and value kindness to strangers and stuff (until they're murdering you but that's another story).

Iunno any real pakis though so iunno. Maybe all rapists.
