What did my Mississippibros and Louisianabros cook tonight? Alabama, Georgia, Florida, and Tennessee are cool too, I guess.

britfag here. Ordered some Nilla wafers from Amazon and I'm gonna make baanana pudding tomorrow, is it gonna be worth it?

>> No.11327269

>>11327056
If you add in real banana, and you happen to be a big fan of the taste of banana, then probably? The biggest potential turn off is the fact that the wafers once soaked in puddin' take on an unusual, moist and almost mushy consistency that I personally find pleasant but has been known to dissuade others.

>> No.11327318

>>11327269
shit, I was gonna make it ahead of time, tranport it and cook it somewhere else, I guess that will exacerbate that problem? Also why wouldn'tI use bananas, what else is there?

>> No.11327785

>>11327318

Some people just use straight up pudding. I’d save the wafers for right before you actually serve it since if you make it ahead of time they’ll get all mushy and nasty.

It's cheap, fast, filling and not terrible for you if you don't over-season. Not a damned thing wrong with it. East or west? Just curious because LA was settled in some parts by French-Acadians and that influence gave us some pretty bad ass French/Southern soul food.
