Light them on fire in the trash can to set the mood while you chug fermented semen until you die from it.

I think you just eat them raw.
Taste salty and are a good snack with beer.

Generally, soaked and pounded with other ingredients to make sauces.
For instance, when pounded with belacan, candlenut, garlic, onion, coriander root, ginger, galangal and chillies, you have the basis of laksa paste.

I was trying to make bap xao and all the videos just show them tossing a pile of the shrimps in and sauteing them with the corn and onions. When I ate it though it they were chewy as fuck.

Can I reconstitute them to a softer state, or maybe let them soak in an acidic marinade? Or do I just need to get used to it if I'm using them?

You could cook some shrimp consome if you don't like them raw.

>> No.11322391

I grind them up and use them in my curry bases and stocks for ramen and udon.

can you peel the tail, legs, and back off them? i've never had them so I don't know how easy they are to work with
but I make a lot of "soup" by boiling water or no sodium vegetable broth, dropping in meat or shrimp, a slice of bacon, and broccoli. it's something to sip from a bowl. cut everything small enough you don't need a spoon if you want, that's what i do

>> No.11322430

>>11322401
>peel the tail, legs, and back off them
you just eat the shell along with it, anon

>>11322299
in chinese cooking you soak these in warm water for a while and then add them to veggie stir fry..not sure about KR cooking
i suppose you can eat them as it is but the taste will be strong and salty

either way, chewiness is expected
