Borough market is a tourist trash pile - though there a couple good vendors and a couple good restaurants on the periphery (Padella, Londrino)

Maltby Street Market has much better food and is about 15 mins walk away

Posted this a while back, but here goes.

This guy has the same expressions, reactions, and microexpressions as a former roommate of mine in college.

He was exceptionally intelligent, a straight A student, played in a jazz band, but little things were off. If you were alone in a room with him, it felt like getting to close to the subway tracks or the edge of a building. The feeling of being drawn into something that was screaming 'danger' silently. The way he ate food without blinking, the way he smiled, the way he used slang like a 70 year old man wanting to relate to younger generations, and the way he laughed-whether it was a funny situation or a situation where he should be seething with rage. He was like an alien that learned how to be a human from textbooks and old VHS's. We had long conversations on various topics, and from those I could tell that he felt like an outsider observing from a distance.

On the night of him moving out, he called me to the living room and asked if we could talk. He essentially explained that he didn't feel things the way he figured other people did, but that he knew 'how' to react to things and did his best to pull it off. He explained that he couldn't relate to people, and that they seemed like plants growing in a predetermined pattern. On the subject of morality, he explained that he wouldn't have any inherent problems killing people, but chose not to because 'ending a life is a shame'.

I was low key terrified but at the same time, I understood what he was trying to say. I asked him why he told me all this. He replied, "I'm not sure. It was a guess, but now I know. I'm relieved to know you understand."

so every time I see this fucking Mark Wiens guy, I'm reminded of having lived for a year with...whatever the roommate is.

Generally they don't focus on social emotional aspects as most neurotypical people do.
