Your "large" soda, sir.

Soda is how most restaurants make their money, since they have the biggest profit margin.

A mcchicken costs $1 to buy, and it probably costs damn near $1 to make also, so you MIGHT make a few cents in profit.

Meanwhile, you're paying $2.00 for a coke that likely cost 5 cents to make.

>> No.11203785

I prefer lots of ice in my coke. So fuck off

>> No.11203786

I never get ice in my drinks. I worked at BK for 3 years and an amusement park for 5.

At Bk the ice machines were never cleaned, at the amusement parks it was only cleaned when I started. I found so many bugs and dirt and grime holy fuck.

desu senpai because the ice keeps it cold longer. The only reason you would ask for it w.o ice is so you could have a larger volume of soda, and soda is fuckign gross and horrible for you.

asking for soda w.o ice is a sure sign of a lardass.

Cold soda keeps it's carbonation for longer which is why they add ice as well as serving it ice cold, the reason you get shit loads of ice is workers don't give a shit

I own a sucessful restaurant and for someone to say that's how I make my money on the high profit margin of soda is absurd. Soda hasn't been $0.05 per glass in a long time grandpa. Check your figures. Not everyone drinks soda as well. Now if you want to talk about non alcoholic beverages with huge profit margins we can talk about tea. Non alcoholic beverages pay some bills, but to say that's where I make all of my profit? No. It's a small part of it but lower cost menu items make up majority of our profits. Drinks fill in a small gap. Iced tea wins over soda year after year.

By your logic why would anyone even serve food? Or even make any effort to serve decent fare?? So we can rake it in on sodas? Again. You're an idiot

>By your logic why would anyone even serve food?

Because cheap food gets people in the door and asses in the seats.
The big money is made on drinks and everybody knows it.

And no, not JUST soda. But drinks in general.
Huge profit margin on somebody spending $3.00 for a cup of coffee that costs 5 cents to make.

If I sell a drink that costs $0.20 and sell it for $3.00 I make a nice profit. Now if I sell a steak I paid $8 for $25 are you trying to tell me that I've made more profit off the drink? Percentage wise sure but I think simple math here disproves your theory.

I've paid $7 for an entire shot and if you sold 5 shots you could pay for the whole bottle.
