Every time I see something billed as a "manly drink" it's solely because of the insufferable douchebaggy, dudebroey marketing campaign surrounding it. It's usually as sugar-packed and low-alcohol as anything considered a "girly drink", its supposed manliness comes only from the fact that its got a "badass" name and either edgy black and green/red labelling if its a prepackaged product or a dumb, gimmicky garnish if its a cocktail.

If your so insecure in your worth as a man that you need to change your lifestyle to fix it, go ahead and take belts of everclear straight out of the bottle. Otherwise, drink what you like and disregard anyone garbagey enough to assess you as a person based solely on your preferred method of getting greased.

That's a shit definition, mate. It includes practically all sours: the base template is 2 oz base spirit, 3/4 oz acidic component (usually lemon or lime), and 1/2-3/4 oz sweetener.
So a margarita would definitely be a manly drink, considering it uses an 80 proof orange liqueur as sweetener. As would a gimlet, or even a cosmopolitan.
The eggwhite in an oldschool Whiskey Sour may take the non-alcoholic components over 2 oz total. Is that not a manly drink?
Also that same definition makes whisk(e)y and soda, G&Ts and Rum&coke non-manly, along with practically all highballs.

>its pure alcohol, a potent natural T booster
Assuming the common recipe (equal parts), a 18% ABV vermouth and a 50 proof Rye (could be bourbon too, but that doesn't really matter for this), that's 31% ABV before stirring, which will dilute it further. As compared to an Old fashioned, which ends up at about 37 percent before stirring, assuming 80 proof, 1 tablespoon of simple syrup (or soda water), and not counting the bitters (which would increase the total alcohol content by a tiny bit). So even with a lot of leeway towards the boulevardier, it's still less alcoholic in total than an old fashioned. If you want pure alcohol, drink everclear or Spyritus.
That said, the negroni and its variants are really good cocktails. Some find it too bitter, but personally I like to even cut the sweet vermouth back a little. Definitely do try it. Appearently, some people are insecure about it because it's bright read, but honestly, fuck those people.

Well that is honestly very dependant on the country, because drinks, as well as ideas of masculinity, differ wildly.

Still in general, as a long time frequent traveler, I'd recommend you to avoid most mixes altogether. Unless they're very subtle mixes that enhance the taste of some quality spirit, or combine a couple of them, you should generally drink it as straight as possible. But certainly drowning any alcohol under gallons of fruit juice and soft drinks is unacceptable.

Among manly drinks:
>beer
Manly, but not classy. At least go with good ones, pick among small local productions or amber/dark beers run by real men, there surely are some nearby, and avoid going for big brands, avoid especially lagers, light/pale ales, and especially the piss Americans drink.
>wine
All of them, except dessert/sugary wines, and cheap sparkling wine that is neither Champagne or Crémant. There's no "color" that's faggy, there's just people that don't know shit about wine, with the exception of non-sparkling white wine maybe, which can certainly complement a dish, but that has little reason to be enjoyed alone unless it's really out of this world.
>brandy and eau de vie
Cognac, Armagnac, Brandy de Jerez, are all manly as fuck. Don't think anything in this category is faggy.
>whiskey
Taste some good ones until you can recognize which ones are good, which ones aren't, which ones you like. If you run into bad whiskey at a bar or party, don't think it is "unmanly", it happens, it's still manlier to bad shit whisky than to refuse it, but then make sure to complain loudly about how much it tastes like shit. Drink it fresh or cold, in a cold glass, avoid ice like the plague.
>rhum
Dark, gold, amber rums generally straight, clear rums are better complimented with a touch of lime. Make sure to cut that lime and squeeze it yourself for extra manliness, ti'punch style. Adding triple sec and angostura bitters is acceptable as well, probably the only mixes that are manly.

Only high-class ones, such as absinthe, Bénédictine, Chartreuse, génépi, Mechitharine, pastis, Kräuterlikör, or Krasnaya Polyana Balsam. Vermouth is debattable and can be quite faggy, just go with a good one, and avoid Martini.
>vodka and other pure ethanol spirits
Only when you want to get drunk, there's hardly anything to appreciate with those, but they often result in drinking contests which are manly as long as you're winning.

Yes, tequila and gin are faggy.
