Thoughts on this stuff?

>> No.11123446

>>11123428
It's a novelty product for children.

There's nothing wrong with the idea of PB&J, rather the problem is that that brand fails hard for both it's jelly and its PB. Buy them seperately so you can get brands that don't suck. Or better yet, make them yourself.

Stupid idea.
What if I want more peanut butter and less jelly?

>> No.11123491

>>11123468
scoop the sides with peanutbutter. i buy this stuff all the time. the jar itself is pretty well separated

>> No.11123509

>>11123491
But then you have a jar with a bunch of jelly left in it that you're not going to use.

It's like the situations where they sell hot dogs in packs of 8 and buns in packs of 10. The trick is to keep you buying more and more.

It's much more logical to just buy them separately, so when you run out of PB, you just go buy more PB.

>> No.11123513

It's the patrician's pb&j spread. No longer do you have to use two utensils to make a sandwich, now one knife will do. It's literally saving the planet.

I like the Jam/jelly the amish around here make and sell a lot better.

>> No.11123543

>>11123518
Yes, but in that case you fall back into the two jar conundrum.

>> No.11123604

>>11123509
And if you run out of PB and still have jelly? How is that different except you're paying more?

>> No.11123624

>>11123543
There is no such thing.

>>11123604
If you buy the mixed stuff you are forced to buy the two at a fixed ratio. If you buy them separately you can buy them in whatever ratio you use.

They got me once with this scam. I ended up talking myself into buying 10 packs of hot dogs and 8 packs of buns so that I wouldn't have any left over. I got sick of hot dogs after the first pack and the rest went to waste

Lowest common denominator, my dude.
You could have bought 5 packs of hot dogs and 4 packs of buns

I normally like to buy peanut butter and jelly in separate jars when I make a sandwich, but when it comes to this, I'm just one of those fat gremlins that eats em straight out of the jar. The strawberry one is the best imho.

It is like a car trip kind of item, quick and easy one stop shopping to dine on for a couple of days with some crackers or 1 loaf of bread. Jelly should be refrigerated after opening, so it should be consumed quickly after opening, because cold PB doesn't spread well.

>> No.11124228

>>11123428
I lived on that stuff for a while. I was poor, sleeping on the floor of some hookers house and the store I could walk to sold that shit. I would buy it because it was high calorie and had at least a little nutritional value unlike plain rice or bread.

Absolutely terrible, mom bought it once when I was a child for the novelty and me and my sister nearly threw up when we tried it.

Skippy super chunk peanut butter and Smuckers strawberry jam or bust.

>> No.11125640

literally for children. Went camping with friends and instead of buying the normal stuff they bought a ton of this and it's the worst of both worlds. Why not just buy normal peanut butter and normal jam? And they always pick the worst flavor(grape). I know Costco has spoiled me with Kirkland PB and EB white Jam but come on even the Wal Mart brand stuff is better than that.

My kids love PB&J in their box lunches and a Hot Carl (that's what we call a hot and ready Peperoni Pizza) for a treat.

I'm having flashbacks to a sitcom I saw as a kid where one of the characters got hired to do a commercial for this stuff, but it was so bad that they had to spit it out between takes. I can't remember the show though. I think it was on Disney or maybe Nickelodeon.

I’m more of a raspberry jam kind of guy. I usually make my own because I don’t like sugar in my jam. The sour raspberries really cuts the richness of peanut butter. I guess it’s a fine product for people who like sugary peanut butter and grape jam in equal amounts, I’m just not one of them. Also, I use a spoon for my jam because I hate getting peanut butter in my jam or vice versa.
