Can we, as a society, come together and finally agree that corn tortillas are garbage and we should completely abolish them in favor of superior flour ones? I feel like everybody knows this, but will ruthlessly defend the shitty corn tortillas out of fear of facing backlash from traditionalists who claim that flour is not authentic. Corn tortillas are only a thing because corn was the most widely available starch back in the day, not because they were ever actually good. Traditionalists need to swallow their pride and admit that shitty corn tortillas pale in comparison to superior flour tortillas.

Flour tortillas only have flavor because of a massive amount of lard. Corn tortillas use only water, no fat, and still have more flavor than flour with the added bonus of being gluten free. Since 70% of amerilards think they're gluten intolerant I think you'll be facing an uprising if you try to eliminate them.

The point of the tortilla is to hold the ingredients. It's basically an edible fork/spoon. It doesn't need to taste like anything, really. Corn tortillas taste like ass and overpower the shit you put in them.
