My boomer parents handled most meat ok - medium rare steaks, hamburgers medium well with just basic seasoning, chicken to 165F so not dry, but they fucked the shit out of pork 'cause muh trichonosis meme and it was dry. Don't get me started on vegetables, they boiled grean beans to literal grey mush, corn on the cob boiled for 10 minutes, broccol, spinach, cabbage and brussel sprouts boiled to shit and bread was wonder bread because mom fell for the tv marketing meme. Tbf, they always had a fresh salad with dinner and we only got sodas on holidays. Never ate restauraunt food until dad had finally got promoted high enough to have monthly Sat. hsmburgers he got from a local bar, not fastfood. Only pizza I had until I was 16 was Chef Boyardee where dad made it from the boxed ingredients and used canned mushrooms.

My grandparents are legitimate boomers and I live with them. They mostly eat frozen foods and my grandmother saves the tiniest scraps of food from each meal to freeze and heat up the next day. I eat over there every so often and we had pork loin one night fresh, and when I ate there again a week later, there were still leftovers of that being served. Also she told me my medium steak was raw and I should send it back, while she literally asks for extra extra well done.
