Too much salt is bad for you, but that's true with anything. I accidentally doubled the salt in a recipe one time and it made me feel like shit after I tried to eat it, my chest felt tight, and drinking a lot of water only helped so much. It's going to be hard to eat too much salt if you're mostly eating homemade food but if you're eating a lot of processed stuff, it's going to have much more salt.

Let me spoon feed you, pic related
For calling me a dumb American, you seem to have called yourself out on being the dumbest person here, so far. Salt has no property to "hold onto water". There's something called diffusion which dictates "water retention", which when osmosis occurs due to high salt content, it's not water retention, it's water leaving your surrounding tissues to equalize the amount of solute in your blood vessels. That, by definition, is not retention.
So please, fucking kill yourself.

>> No.11091826

Attraction is something you'll never know, anon.

>> No.11091858

Also, by definition osmosis is a passive process. All diffusion is. Salt does not exert a force, energy, or magic to make water do anything. Diffusion, by definition, is a passive process of the movement of atoms/molecules from high concentration to low.
That same salt that "pulls it out" is going to be absorbed into your surrounding tissues, like the picture displays with the shriveled up red blood cell.
I hope this explanation wasn't too complicated for your tiny eurocuck brain.

Salt forms a solvation shell when dissolved in water by electrostatic attraction. That decreases water activity and raises the number of thermally accessible microstates that can be populated by diffusion.
