Ketofags BTFO. Low carb/keto diets shorten your lifespan by up to 4 years.

>But m-muh healthy meat and cheese diet that gives you bowel cancer and shortens lifespan

A keto diet has shown strong results for improved health. Short term keto weight loss for like 6 to 12 months is the best. There is uncertainty about long term because the diet is fairly new.

That said, there’s also evidence that it could extend longevity you cherry picking autist https://www.healthline.com/health-news/keto-diet-can-help-you-live-longer-researchers-say

The study apparently defined low-carb as 30-40% energy from carbohydrates (150-200 g for a 2000 kcal/d diet), and extra-low-carb as below 30% (less than 150 g). On keto, you generally eat at most 20-50 g carbs per day, typically around 5% of energy needs. As such, it's unreasonable to apply the results to the keto diet specifically, due to the vastly different metabolism between a person that's eating 200 g carbs per day and a person eating 20 g.

The study also confirms that trading carbohydrates for unsaturated fats reduces mortality.

You're bringing a chessboard to a gang fight. Mouse experiment vs. human epidemiology. A mouse species which doesn't commonly dies from cardiac events to boot.

"Cardiac changes can be common in some studies of aging C57BL/6 mice but are not a major cause of death."

An a-priori bad model for human mortality.
