The meme extremes of both are terrible, but because of the internet it's not difficult to find really good food on the coast. Hitting an actual half way decent diner in flyover land is 1000-1. Most flyovers will swear that they have the best whatever in their village, but the truth is that it's just what they grew up with, and they've never left tier village. So yeah, obviously the 1st world parts of the country have much better food.
