What're y'all drinking, brewing, cellaring, or just feening for?

It's High Tide season out here on the West Coast. Picked up a few fresh cans, and while the taste is as good as you'd expect from Port, the carbonation is a little fucked and it poured with almost no head. Still a solid brew for $3 a pint.

I like the hazy juice bombs. I wish they were more carbonated, though. It's hard to find a true hazy juice bomb around here on the west coast. I went to Alpine Beer Company's tasting room, asked if they had any hazy northeast-style IPA, and the guy told me "we don't put that flowery shit in our beer". Mikkeller had me covered, though. That's the best brewery I've visited.

Pic related was my first juice bomb experience. It smelled like a tropical smoothie and tasted like an IPA with pineapple juice.

Make sure you have cleaner and sanitizer. Clean and sanitize everything that the beer touches post-boil, your fermenter lid and airlock, and later bottles caps and siphoning equipment.
Clean before you sanitize. You can't sanitize something dirty. I recommend PBW powder to clean and Starsan to sanitize. Starsan is a no-rinse product which means you just spray and let air dry.
I'm assuming you have a recipe and kit and that it's extract. Just follow the recipe and you'll be fine. Make sure you use a thermometer to keep track of how hot your boil water is. Don't forget to pitch your yeast (common first mistake) and wait until the wort has cooled to 70-75 or at least 80 degrees. Make sure you stir (aerate the wort after cooling but before pitching.
Make sure the beer ferments at the proper temp. Research whatever yeast you are using to find out what temps it likes, though most of the time you can just keep it at 72 and it will be fine.
