No, anyone cannot sell it. Sales of alcohol are generally regulated by at least food admin in most Western Countries, and by a special division of food admin occasionally.

Secondly, it's beer. Generic types take four ingredients. What you are saying is that it would be fishy if a bakery published recipe for bread and allowed anyone to sell it.

>> No.10876779

Depends how you split up costs. For the up-front cost of equipment and material to brew a batch, fuck no it's not cheaper by any means. Between tools, bottles and caps it's expensive. Probably about $200 for startup including plenty of bottles, a decent mash tun, wort chiller, a wing crimper for bottles...

For raw materials it's dirt cheap, I spend $20 on 48 bottles' worth and I can cut that practically in half if I buy things in bulk but I only really ever make the same thing twice, so it's best to buy smaller quantities right now.

Your breakeven point for a small, "normal" homebrewer's setup would be 3-4 batches at 5 gallons of beer compared to some middle-range macro beer like sam adams.

Is it easier? No, fuck no it isn't.

Aaay that shit is dank, Tennessee brewed yeah?

Had that when I was in Chattanooga at Good Dog Hot Dogs, one of the best pale ale beers I’ve had. Simple and refreshing

This looks like one of the generic products from Repo Man.

Can you show some data proving that a large percentage of the cost goes to putting color on the packaging?

I'd like to know this as well. How do they get away with it when even water bottles have to put nutritional facts somewhere?

You can literally try the brewer for poisoning or murder, or at least fine them for all they're worth. Faceless corporations can only be fined and shrug it off after awhile.

10 Barrel makes a standard lager in a plain white can. It's relatively affordable here.

Unfortunately it is pretty shitty. Reminds me of a flatter, watered down version of Miller light. Can't beat the price though. And most of the time I buy this for when I'm gonna be too drunk to notice the taste.

This used to be found in COOP supermarkets. Now the best (worst) you can ask for is Best Brau which is good, or Finkbrau which tastes like rubbing alcohol

>live in Canada
>East of me, Saskatchewan with some of the highest booze prices in Canada because government run
>My province, Alberta has mandatory minimum charges so you can never get a beer for less than $1.XX, even the cheap shit is like $20 for 15

What the fuck do I do? I have a four day long event to attend this weekend and only $100 for gas and booze.
