I worked at a deli in a supermarket for some time, and we make rotisserie chickens and other fried stuff in addition to the deli meats. One day, an older lady, about 70-80, came in and asked me for a maple glazed rotisserie. We had been out of those baby's for a few days now, and I told her that we had none. I apologized and offered alternatives, but she didn't believe me, for some reason. She attempted to enter the workers area of the deli to "check for me". The deli manager intervened, went and double checked, found nothing. She glared at him with the fury of a thousand suns and walked off. We just brushed it off as another crazy customer we'd never see again, by she came back five minutes later with the store manager and the assistant manager. She apparently told them I was hiding the chicken from her, and demanded that the managers find it. They looked, found none. She just stormed out of the store after that.

Some woman whipped around with her 14 ton cargo purse and knocked her daughter's food all over the floor, and started yelling at her about how much it cost and how she wasn't going to buy her more (while shoving her own meal through her face).
I had the kitchen make another meal for the daughter, and the mother starts elephanting about how we had no right and that her daughter needed to learn this lesson and pay attention more.

I had a girl order a sandwich, proceed to change EVERY part of the item except one which she requested on the side, then complain that it looked nothing like the picture.

I had a girl order buffalo wings then ask me why there was this spicy sauce on them.

We have a discounted deal where if you order multiple items, you get a slight discount, I told this girl the deal, I wrote it down on paper, I told her point blank "If you buy these seperately, you pay X amount of dollars, if you buy these together, you pay Y instead", of which the Y value was objectively, logically, and intrinsically less than X at a grade school level, which she then got irate at me, and told me to just purchase them separately.

A woman got mad at me for serving her club soda without ice.

We have an alcoholic drink we make with shaved ice, said drink is called a snowcone and it is advertised as an adult snowcone. The customer accused us of putting too much ice in it and watering our drinks down, so we made a snowcone with light ice.

I used to work at a sub shop when I was in college and we toasted sandwiches. Because the preparation order involved putting spreads on the roll, things like mayo and dressings would be applied before toasting unless requested otherwise (obviously because removing greasy lunchmeat and melted cheese to apply mayo to the roll is kinda dumb). Well, a queen of color came in one time and saw us toasting her sandwich with mayo on and and proceeded to chimp out in the store about how that causes the mayo to spoil immediately and we were going to get her sick because now the mayo had gone bad.

Blacks were only regulars in our store during the summers because we had a really nice state park with several pools down the road from us, and they'd all come from the city to go swimming. If there's one thing I noticed about them, they are the ones to have all of these weird myths about food that aren't even remotely true.

Wants to know the manager's name. I tell her and she leaves, again. Ten minutes later, here she comes again. Rolls down her window and yells something incoherent at me. Calmly tell her that I don't have a key to get in. She leaves. Ten minutes later she's back and she's fuming. She calls me a dick or something and says she's notifying corporate about our store. Wants to know my name. Yeah right. She leaves and I notice her drive past a couple more times. Manager finally shows up and we open around 9:00. As soon as I put on the headset at the drive-thru window the woman pulls up and very calmly and politely places her order. I hand her her food without incident. I tell the manager about everything and she says the woman is there every morning at exactly 8 and she always orders the same thing.

That was when I learned that fast food addiction is real.

I had this chinese lady stand pay for her catering with card and rang it up.Her first card was declined,so were the next two and she blames it on me for being incompetent and calls my boss out. My boss tries her own card and the payment goes through and tries the lady's card and it was declined too. I personally find that White customers have just as many problems as Blacks, but the White people tend to be less willing to "make a scene" or talk to a manager. In my experience at least, if they can't resolve an issue with me, (cashier kinda guy) they don't usually bother going to the manager, just give me the stink eye and walk out. I've had plenty of Black and Asian folks demand to speak to my manager when they have an issue, the Asians (actual Asians from out of the country who are visiting, not American-born) usually asking the manager before they even run the problem by me. Even if its for something as small as me forgetting to put sauce packets in their food bag. They just yell for the manager to come do it, despite the fact that I am literally right next to it.

Once at Little Caesars I saw a woman order a cheese pizza with extra cheese (not a Extramostbestest cheese pizza, which the manager tried to explain would be cheaper) with 'NO BUBBLES' in the crust. Manager tried to explain that they had no control over that many times. Finally she turned and told the employee making the pizza to try and not have bubbles form in the crust. She turned back to the customer, gave her a wide eyed maniacal smile and said 'That's the best I can do!' The customer later cancelled her order. That, and for what else was going on there that night, earned a ton of respect for that manager that night.

I saw a woman at a McDonalds call the cops because according her the mcdonalds did not make her hashbrowns that she ordered extra crispy like she asked, and the workers refused to giver her free food as compensation.

The cops actually showed up, they tell the woman that the matter is something she should take up with mcdonalds corporate and there is nothing they can do about it.
