My local Whole Foods stocks yucca fries in the hot bar and those are pretty good. Aside from that, good curly fries are better than good standard fries, but mediocre standard fries are better than mediocre curly fries, so I usually go with standard. Crinkle, waffle, and all others are below.

I don't really like to say there's a 'best' French fry since each French fry is simply unique. However, my favorite French fry is probably the waffle fry, which is not pictured, but I've attatched a 'pic related' just in case.

I really like the way the French do their fries. When in Paris, I had some great 'steak-frites' which is a steak with fries. Really good stuff. Hang on.
