Lets discuss pic related.

I recently bought this for the first time as I am not from the states and its one of the more expensive hot sauces in my country.

Due to decades of exposure to holy wood i was lead to believe that Tabasco is absurdly hot sauce - its the way the portrait it movies and what not.

In reality I was let down in its hotness, Its a good hot sauce I like the after taster of peepers and that there is more than just hot sensation. So i am not disappointed it is not what expected though.

Price wise i have better options in my country. This little bottle cost 7 shekels, while i can get a jar of marinated chilly peepers of various kinds for around 2-3 shekels that will last me way longer. The fullness of the taste of the Tabasco is better but is it worth it?!
Cause lets be honest you can grab the hottest peepers ad various other hot tasting products (garlic and so one) and make a home made sauce to your liking for fraction of the cost.

So is Tabasco living up to its hype? Is it worth its money? What would you recomend that can be found internationally to try instead? I would like a hot sauce that would really make tear up while still having awesome taste and more quantity if its expensive.

it's garbage

Where have you ever seen it portrayed as absurdly hot?

It's the one sauce that literally everyone is familiar with, because everyone can handle it.

Any recommendations, anon?

I am starting to think that taking care of a chilly paper plant at home would be a good idea.

For me, it is Matouk's West Indian Flambeau Sauce, the very best hot sauce.

Not sure how much it would cost to get it shipped to Israel though.

American blog busters of various types from comedy to actions movies. Though it was good if its so popular.

I have to agree its hotness that most people should be able to handle without making big of deal. I guess people that never eat spicy food may find it hot.
Its better than corn starch mixed with chilly flakes and water and its better than sriracha in my opinion ( I use sriracha as ketchup sometimes) but not sure price wise.

Regular Tabasco isn't hot but it tastes okay, mostly just like peppery vinegar. It's the American equivalent of chili oil, a slightly pungent all-purpose condiment. The habanero stuff is a bit stronger but also tastes a bit sweetish and funky like habaneros themselves so I avoid it.

And anyways, if you want to make your food actually spicy you should be making it with peppers, not adding hot sauce after the fact.

contrarian dweebs in here saying tabasco is bad because its a normie hot sauce.

Marie Sharps is a solid hot sauce. Highly recommended. Frank's Red Hot is also a classic.

If youre looking for one of the stupidly hot hot sauces, Dave's or Blair's are also pretty good

For me, ‘vark is the perfect amount of sweetness and tanginess. Other hot sauces are too spicy and vinegary.

It would taste "pretty fucking good" if it cost about $2 a bottle. At $8 a bottle that aardvark can blow it up its shiny blue ass.

You aren't talking about flavor then, you're talking about value and how you refuse to spend that much on something you have already admitted tastes good.

I think McChickens taste good too, but I sure as hell wouldn't pay $5 for one. Value has everything to do with flavor.
