I spent a couple of weeks there a while back. There actually is surprisingly good food in ohio, you just have to ignore what the locals tell you is good because it's always terrible. I found a great cafe in downtown canton of all places, serving actual food not microwaved crap, and it was practically empty, I have no idea how they stayed in business. Probably a little expensive by local standards (I think my breakfast ended up costing around $20 for some local unsweetened full fat yogurt, fresh fruit, a pourover of coffee that actually tasted like legit third wave coffee, and some non-entemanns pastries that used actual butter and flour and not HFCS and soy byproducts). I think the staff thought I was some kind of professional food reviewer because I wasn't dressed like a local (my shirt was ironed for example) because they seemed a little nervous

The locals were all going crazy for this place that served "authentic local amish food" that literally tasted like a stouffer's microwave dinner, I went out of my way to drive there and it was horrifyingly bad, I mean I wasn't expecting Le Bernardin but come on
