Vegan studies are reknowned for attributing to veganism the results of not eating McDonalds 6 times a week. People who switch to any of the hot meme diets like keto or paleo report the incredible improvement it is on their lives, never realizimg that cutting out junk food and the daily wendys is all they needed. You need to see the long term effects of these diets to understand why vegans, keto, paleo and its proponents are so harmful. Its not a stretch to claim Americans need to eat less meat. I don't think you understand how the fundamental logic required for nutritional studies to be sound works. Have you ever taken a science class anon? First, I'm not vegan. Second, dismissing all studies of a certain type because it goes against your diet is retarded. You're retarded. Google how to calculate P value for an age related study. You'll find that it's quite complicated and requires more than a bit of statistical data, rather than comparing McDonald to Broccoli. These structures are constantly argued and making a major change is the difference between a post-grad and a Ph.D.

Dismissing every study as garbage because you're too stupid to understand underlying scientific structure is probably why we have Dr. Phil, landwhales and hillbillies like you.

I don't think anon dismissed *all* studies as crap. He is pointing out a legit problem. A lot of claims about the health benefits of vegan diets have nothing to do with veganism and instead have to do with not face-cramming cheap fast food for every meal.

I would love to see a study that did the following: get a whole bunch of people who are currently overweight and eating poor diets. Switch one group to vegan. Switch the other group to a balanced diet containing some (but not excessive amounts of) meat. I'd bet big money that the health benefits would be equal, if not biased in favor of the group which had some meat.

the real take-home from most of those studies is that eating greasy tendies & fast food all day is unhealthy. Gee, whodathunkit? Replacing that shitty of a diet with just about anything (vegan or otherwise) is going to be a massive improvement. It's not "veganism" that's the source of the main benefit. Rather it's anything other than the status quo.
