I like all chocolate. But we tend to favor the ones we grew up with. I prefer the local Norwegian types, personally, which is not as sweet as US/UK chocolate, but I also love Toblerone, and Lindt of course. That 99% has almost no sweetness to it, but it goes very well with chocolate, but it's not like eating milk chocolate, that's for sure.

There's some truth to this but I've recently figured out that it's the sugar that gives me pimples more than anything else. I can eat 90% dark chocolate and not have any issue with my skin, but if I eat anything that's higher in sugar I break out within 24 hours. Even fruit makes me break out. Have you tried the higher percentage chocolate bars?

90% is my favorite though, the bitterness is just satisfying for some reason.

I have no idea what the right amount of ingredients are for making milk chocolate, each website offers its own retarded combination. Now I'm left with a batch of chocolate that tastes and feels good on the tongue but it gets soft in the fridge (and melts outside it), I'm either going to put that shit in cookies/ice cream or re-melt it and try to figure out how to make it more solid.

I need to look up how to temper chocolate too.

Chocolate is my absolute favorite food (thing which is edible). Most of the chocolate I eat is in the form of chocolate milk, pic related. It's really satisfying of my want for chocolate, though unfortunately the local supermarket doesn't stock the whole-milk version, which I prefer for the richness (plus it lacks lactaid, which is slightly detrimental to my gains).
Trader Joe's also sells 1-pound chocolate bars, which I'd get as either the "dark" (60%) or milk chocolate with almonds.
A lot of people itt assume that darker chocolate is better or that it makes them edgier. Maybe so, but with a standard sized chocolate bar of percentage 90% or higher, I would only eat half a square at a time.

The best thing about higher percentage chocolate is that you can get more chocolate in the same portions as lower percent bars.

70-75% is a nice balance, not too bitter, and better quality stuff can taste really fucking good. I find anything over 90% is for the same kind of people who look down on people for not only ever drinking coffee black, or weirdo health nuts.
