The only tinned foods I get regularly are Heinz baked beans and chopped tomatoes.
Every so often I'll get some soups too.
Whenever I'm going camping I get a couple tins of rice pudding and Stagg chilli.

Canned Oregon Blueberries in the off season, never eating foreign blue berries like the patrician I am.

I sometimes mix canned veggies into soups with fresher veggies to help cut cost. No one notices that the tomatoes are canned. You have to be careful though, canned veggies often have a lot of salt.

I also make tuna and chicken salad with canned meat. Its good for sandwiches.

Sometimes I'll fry some spam for a sandwich with some beer.


Canned food is actually the best thing you can eat for the environment. It takes a lot less fuel to make and ship and doesn't rot in the store.

if you give a shit about the earth, you should eat more canned food and learn what dried beans and rice are.

This stuff with a couple eggs scrambled in was my favorite thing as a kid and I still eat it on occasion when I’m feeling lazy. Besides Campbell soups it’s the only canned food I make a point to keep around the house.
