Reminds me of last time I was in H-Mart (Korean mega supermarket.) One of the sample girls is handing out of some kind of gook noodle shit. She hands one to my girlfriend (who's Asian) and then looks at me. Says "It's spicy." I say OK. She says "It's really spicy" and eventually hands it over. I eat the thing and grab another one from her table and eat that too because it's not fucking spicy at all.

I've been to plenty of Korean restaurants because my wife is Korean and that's never happened to me. The worst experience I've had with Koreans are older women staff who carry themselves like they have somewhere better to be when serving you. I wouldn't trust online reviews unless they're overwhelmingly bad, they're probably just overreacting or looking to pick a fight.
