I stopped going to Taco Bell after they swapped real churros for those. Used to go all the time, too. Nasty.

>> No.10580853

Is it true they're just deep fried and seasoned noodles? I imagine I could make them hella cheap at home if so.

>> No.10580856

I used to work at a taco bell.
They look exactly like noodles before we deep fried them. Not sure if the ingredients are identical though. The cinnamon twists and nacho chips are freshly deep-fried every day.

Try dipping them in nacho cheese. Don't knock it until you try it. The savoriness of the cheese accentuates the spiciness of the cinnamon.

Is there a way to make a meximelt at home? May you please give me a quick rubdown on the meximelt ingredients. Thanks.

meximelt is a flour tortilla with seasoned ground beef, 3-cheese blend, and fiesta salsa (basically pico de gallo)

We would put the ingredients on the tortilla flat and then place it inside some kind of blast steamer for 7-10 seconds. I assume you can try to replicate it at home by microwaving it for 10-20 seconds.

The key to the fresh flavor of the meximelt is most likely in that fiesta salsa. We had to mix it up fresh every day too. We had to manually chop up fresh cilantro and lime and put it with pre-packaged diced onions and tomatoes. I think that fresh cilantro and lime juice really makes all the difference.

>Stop standing in the lettuce
The amount of lettuce that gets wasted at Taco Bell is obscene.
The policy is you HAVE to throw away your lettuce and open up a brand new bag every 4 hours, regardless of how much gets used.
I'm guessing the meme picture of some retard standing on the lettuce was actually a couple bins that were about 30 seconds away from going into the trash, but of course I can't prove that.

No problem. I've seen them slightly tweak the recipe and make the salsa with lemon juice instead of lime juice, try it both ways and see what you prefer.
