The correct way is on a crusty roll split 90% horizontally (so the 2 halves are still connected, vinaigrette on both halves, then cheese to cover, then meat and tomatoes piled on the bottom, then turned on its side and filled with shredded lettuce, salted, peppered and with more vinaigrette. wa la.

This isn't true at all, the subway by my work is run by two pakis and "lots of jalapenos" to them means about 12 slices. The only good one is the younger girl (daughter maybe) who just slams a fistful of hot peppers and onions onto my sub like I want but she is never on the lunch shift
