I'm going to be in Ireland and England this summer. I'm trying to get a good sampling of foods while I'm over there. I am definitely hitting up a chippy while there. I also want to go to a takeaway some time. I also want to go to some authentic Paki or Indian places since I'll be in the Middle East of the West. :^)

But in all honesty, is there anything that I should definitely eat or try while I'm there?

Champ! It's my absolute favourite - mashed potatoes with scallions

Fifteens - traybake buns make with digestive biscuits, condensed milk, glace cherries and marshmallows.

Potato bread - comes as part of an ulster fry

Ulster fry - the much bread heavier cousin of an english breakfast. Much nicer

Pastie - not a cornish pasty but a pasty from an irish chippy.
