I didn't know it was a meme, but the Trader Joe's by me is on a pretty small corner in a town (Tampa) where literally everyone drives. The parking lot is slammed during peak hours so they hire people just to try to keep some of the chaos and Florida road rage at bay.

Just looking at google maps, they have way less parking/retail sqft to other grocers off the same road

2 is Fresh Market, a knock off Whole Foods
3 is Publix, comparable to a Kroger or Safeway

2 and 3 have almost twice as much parking space, while Trader Joe's barely exceeds a 1:1 of parking to retail space

They have great cheese that's is much cheaper than Whole Foods, way better too. You'll find the most obscure cheese. Found some a month ago, Cave Aged Cheddar. It was insane, amazing, just melted in your mouth and was so rich. Not like that orange block cheese you get at regular grocers. Cheddar, onion, tomato sandwiches for days.
