Vindaloo is my favorite but most people i know like milder stuff so i usually do something like that. I like lamb curry, but chicken or beef is fine, sometimes I do only vegetables.

Hi there!

You seem to have made a bit of a mistake in your post. Luckily, the users of 4chan are always willing to help you clear this problem right up! You appear to have used a tripcode when posting, but your identity has nothing at all to do with the conversation! Whoops! You should always remember to stop using your tripcode when the thread it was used for is gone, unless another one is started! Posting with a tripcode when it isn't necessary is poor form. You should always try to post anonymously, unless your identity is absolutely vital to the post that you're making!

Now, there's no need to thank me - I'm just doing my bit to help you get used to the anonymous image-board culture!

i just want to say that if you're using spices like turmeric from a supermarket, like masterfoods, then you're missing out. get it from an indian store and you'll notice a massive improvement in flavour.

indian people are smelly people but they sure know their spices and where to source them.

>>10215698
probably needless to say that my fave kind of curries are turmeric based. i usually add some cumin, paprika, black pepper, garlic and sometimes onion and/or ginger (fresh). nice with beef but better with chicken.

it's an easy way to turn /fit/ chicken into /tasty/ chicken.

I don't know what the different curries are, I just throw together some lentils, canned diced tomatoes, and whatever frozen vegetables i have at hand. Lots of garlic, curry powder, ginger, crushed hot chili flakes, and a bit of paprika. Leave that shit in the stew pot for a while and then eat it with rice.

We start off by quickly heating up our chicken and chopped onions in a large pan.

Then we move the chicken out, leave the onions in and add curry paste, garlick, a few spices

Let it warm up to let the spices release all their taste.

Add coconut milk/cream to create the sauce.

Slice a few bananas and apples, add them into the mix.

Add the chicken again with the apples and bananas.

Let it simmer gently for at least two hours.

Serve it on basmatti rice cooked to perfection.

Finally, before eating, sprinkle thinly-sliced grilled almonds to taste.

Best fucking curry of my life.

Anybody had Chettinand curry? It is made with coconut and tamarind which makes it sound more Southeast Asian than other Indian curry I have had. I am going to get some tomorrow. Just trying to decide between chicken or lamb/mutton.

Coconut and tamarind, but especially coconut, are hugely popular in South India. People outside of India are most familiar with North Indian cuisine, as that's what most Indian restaurants are outside of India.
