Sometimes I am looking for something at Wal-Mart and get desperate enough to ask an employee if they know where it is. 4 times out of 5 they don't, but because a customer has asked their help, they're liberated from whatever mundane task they were doing and get to lead me around the same wild goose chase I just walked over to them from.
