What type of mineral oil? I doubt a strong smelling Ballistol would be optimal. Ive read linseed oil is all-around great for wood, and it is edible, anyway?

Anybody wanna give me a quick rundown on some worthy Irish whiskey?
From the ones Ive had (nothing expensive or noteworthy, except maybe Connemara peated) felt fairly...bland? Not the traditional in-your-face of a scotch, but a pleasant experience anyway. Are the higher tiers like Green Spot, Red Spot, RedBreast worth the money?
