is salt bad for you if you aren't obese and do drink a lot of water?

I've just started cooking for myself after having my mother doting on me for my entire life and holy shit anons, I didn't realize that salt was actually important. I've finally found the light, veggies are not bland pieces of shit anymore. My mum literally never used salt when cooking, the only salt in the house until a couple of weeks ago was a bottle of table salt from the 80's. WTF why are boomers like this? Why did I have to suffer through my childhood with bland shitty overcooked unseasoned pieces of meat and veg? My whole young life was a waste until now.
