Try the cheap canned forloren hare from Aldi, by the way. I think it's better than the brand name stuff. And it's a bigger can.

Which fish is this "caviar" from? Cod?
I love cod roe but we usually get it in cans here. And it's expensive.
Grew up in a fishing village and would sometimes have it fresh from the fish. Boiled with melted butter. Amazing stuff.
We called it trousers because of the shape.
