Brought out my teas I've kept stored out of my hot environment. They smell healthy, so it seems I made the right move. I took about 56g of some cheap shou mei and put it into some polypropylene bags. Having 6g now, smells pleasant and is comfortably smooth and light. The rest will be for daily drinking for little over a week. I'll let you anons know if anything unpleasant happens as a result so you can know if it is an option for you too (at least for short term durations such as under two weeks).

Mylar is likely a better choice, but it does cost more and may be more difficult to source. It is what I had on hand, anyway. Looking forward to sipping more tea again.
