The cake in question is:

It has a rustic camphor taste to it. The material is well aged, has plenty of big leaves but is kind of rough looking. I don't think I have found another sheng cake quite like it.

sipping on some of "That Camphor Cake" from LP

It is a aged white label production sheng cake made sometime in the late 1990's to very early 2000's. Very gnarly looking, lots of stems and large misshapen leaves but the tea is undoubtedly well aged. The cake is aptly titled, camphor is its dominant flavor. Reminds me of moth balls and aromatic cedar with earthy and medicinal undertones. Gives me nostalgic vibes of playing in my grandparents wardrobe as a kid. I was not so sure about this tea the first time I had it, but it seems to have grown on me. Definitely, not an everyday drinker or a tea for everyone but I appreciate having it in my stash.
