what damage? fasting is usually not that bad for you, unless by "extended" you mean weeks? Or if you kept eating something bad like sugar or alcohol during the "fast".
Anyway I'd just slowly bring back your normal diet and give yourself a few weeks to recover. Probiotics could throw off the recovery.

If you can't get back to normal, then try REAL kefir (from grains not powder), starting with tiny amounts like a teaspoon. If your guts are in a bad state, real kefir could hit you like a nuke. Gram negative bacteria release some nasty shit when they die.

Don't, or at least be very careful with it. Kefir is really strong and going hard on probiotics can disrupt your natural recovery. Just eat your normal diet and see if things clear up over time. If they don't, you can try adding Kefir in SLOWLY and see if it helps. But if it doesn't, stop.

Supposedly you can mix sesame seeds in water and drink it. Then you play the waiting game. Sometimes low-tech solutions work the best. You just have to channel your inner german and make sure to always inspect your poop.

The microbiome is essentially an imageboard.
You have your various strains like c. frogposter, n. waifufag, b. wojakshitter which each contribute (for good or ill). Each serves a role and the ecosystem reaches some tenuous equilibrium.
Removing any strain from a stable system is risky, even one that seems useless like l.cunnyposter might have value in creating an environment that deters worse strains such as c.redditor.
Probiotics are like injecting a generic mix of redditors twitterites and facebook users into the site. If the ecosystem is healthy they just get bullied out, otherwise something might happen but it's almost impossible to predict what, it could easily just make things worse.
Depending on your diet, the balance will change. For example as twitter becomes more popular the malicious strain l.twitcapper becomes more common, despite all efforts at containing it.
As a living system, change is inevitable, and unfortunately most changes just make things worse because of entropy. However there are many different ways to fail. Just like one gutlet might only be able to eat meat and another only carbs, both /vg/ and /pol/ are unsalvageable but it completely different ways.

What do people eat? Like regular people during normal weekdays?

Like I just order takeout or eat snacks or simple food (sandwhiches, cereal, instant soup) but apparently thats not normal? I thought you only cook if you have a family gathering or whatever

Imagine going to Walmart to get a bag of shrimp the size of a burgerland bag of chips. You throw it in a big pot and let it boil for a short time, strain it, and throw em in a bowl.
You sit on your couch and shuck em like peanuts, dip 'em into cocktails sauce before plopping em in your mouth.

>Animal food sources make a vital contribution to global nutrition and are an excellent source of macro- and micronutrients. Livestock products make up 18% of global calories, 34% of global protein consumption and provides essential micro-nutrients, such as vitamin B12, iron and calcium. Livestock use large areas of pastures where nothing else could be produced. Animals also add to agricultural production through manure production and drought power. Further, keeping livestock provides a secure source of income for over 500 million poor people in many in rural areas.
>This study determines that 86% of livestock feed is not suitable for human consumption. If not consumed by livestock, crop residues and by-products could quickly become an environmental burden as the human population grows and consumes more and more processed food. Animals also consume food that could potentially be eaten by people. Grains account for 13% of the global livestock dry matter intake. Some previous studies, often cited, put the consumption of grain needed to raise 1 kg of beef between 6 kg and 20 kg. Contrary to these high estimates, this study found that an average of only 3 kg of cereals are needed to produce 1 kg of meat at global level. It also shows important differences between production systems and species. For example, because they rely on grazing and forages, cattle need only 0.6 kg of protein from edible feed to produce 1 kg of protein in milk and meat, which is of higher nutritional quality. Cattle thus contribute directly to global food security.
Really makes you think

When your women works full time, its hard to ask her to be a housewife on top of it, if we are talking about legitimate house wifeing not some lazy shit where the door frames pile up dust and grime because she doesn't think to check it for she is bad at cleaning, meals 2-3x a day, tutoring children ect. You either have to be ok with being poor and getting gibs or have a fat salary to support your family with your wages alone. This has been going on for a few decades now, and women no longer have mothers who know how to cook, so their daughters never learn either.

There was a time I couldn't stand eggs, but I think it was because I was eating overcooked eggs. To me when eggs are overcooked (sometimes its not even visible) it gets this particular taste I can't stand.
If you haven't tried it yet maybe cooking them less or scrambling them Gordon Ramsay style (slow cooked with milk and/or goat cheese just until curds form) you'd like them better. For me slightly undercooked eggs > slightly overcooked eggs every time.
