I learned the answer to that question yesterday.

my beautiful, wonderful girlfriend made me a cake. Its a napoleonka cake; common to eastern europe; which is basically a cream-style filling between multiple layers of pastry layers.

It is the best cake anyone has ever made for me, and is truly incredible. Every bite is mouth watering, my own little piece of heaven. Its the kind of cake which you'd find at the finest patisseries. I have paid people in the past to make me cakes much worse than this. Very, very delicious. This is truly the Thinkpad of cakes, the Louis Vuitton of tongue experiences.

The problem is the ingredients. She had originally planned to make one using "the traditional recipe" from her grandmother, which called for... 900 grams of butter. Im a med student and hearing that almost made my heart fall out of my chest; I could feel my arteries clogging already just imaging such a dastardly dish. I eventually talked her down to using only 300 grams of butter. But heres the thing /adv/; with the size of cake she made, that STILL comes to about 50 grams of butter in every slice.

Infact, while im here, let me ask - What do I do? Do I consume this delicious but oh so deadly cake, and risk it being my final meal (sitting here with palpatations after my last slice) or do I break her heart? Its cream based and with three quarters left (some 9 slices) it will only be good for another day and a half, very concerned by this
