I came to this thread to feel bad, I didn't expect to leave it feeling a bit more patriotic. Thanks anons who cared enough to share some of the great things out nation's created. Let me contribute one of my favorites:
Germany may have created the first hot dog, but its close cousin the Hot link is all-American. I just made my first batch from scratch last week to great applause and tipping from my lovely American family. Nope, not much can compete with a delicious batch of home-made links
