I lived in Philly for a greater part of my life so I can recommend some places there

While the roast pork sandwich is superior, im sure as a tourist you're gonna want a cheesesteak. Tony Luke's, Jims on South St, and Dalessandros are the only places worth your time. Don't even fucking think about going to Pat's or Geno's. They're steakums garbage.

This is actually the crowning achievement of Philly. Slow roasted suckling pig, provolone, broccoli rabe, on a roll you can only get fresh in the city. Paesanos, DiNics, and John's are where to go.

Other than that just Yelp places. You could get a Philly pretzel if you want, maybe try to find a place that sells tomato pies. There's good brewery's around, Tired Hands is a bit out of the city but prolly the best in the state. There's an illegal down in South Philly who owns a place called Barbacoa which is top tier Mexican food. Franklin fountain has awesome old school ice cream. Bars: Dirty Frank's, Trestle inn, Johny Brenda's, Frankford hall, tattood mom are some I can think of off hand.

Enjoy yourself Anon. It's a fun town. And don't be intimidated if someone starts heckling you. That's just the culture, everyone's actually super friendly even if they seem like they're breaking your balls.
